Anesthesiology

The Department of Anaesthesia at Saudi German Hospital Dubai provides state-of-the-art care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. We provide complete, advanced anesthesiology services for all surgical procedures performed at SGH Dubai, ranging from minor outpatient procedures to major operations such as transplantation.
The anaesthetic department provides expertise in a wide variety of surgical specialty disciplines including Cardiac, Thoracic-Foregut, Neurosurgery, ENT, Vascular, Bariatric, Colorectal, Urology, Gynaecology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.

  • Plan peri-operative care and explain proposed anesthetic techniques.
  • Post-operative pain management.
  • Painless labour (Epidural).
  • Anaesthesia for paediatrics and neonates.
  • Anaesthesia outside the OT (E.g. Paediatric patients undergoing diagnostic MRI)
  • Ambulatory Anaesthesia.

    • What Do We Offer?

    Our anaesthesia department consists of anesthesiologists who work in tandem with other departments. We offer general anaesthesia and sedation, epidural anaesthesia for labour and delivery, local anaesthesia for dental surgery, pain medicine, and intensive care medicine. Moreover, our critical emergency medicine unit is composed of specialised medical doctors and nurses that are available 24/7 to provide life-saving care in the case of emergencies. We provide pre-operative assessment, anaesthesia, post-operative and perioperative medical care. This includes minimising the risk of complications, ensuring the best possible surgical outcome, and minimising the need for revision surgery. Our hospital employs a board-certified anaesthesiologist with a special interest in spinal and regional anaesthesia to oversee anaesthesia services. Our doctors are well equipped with the latest equipment and technology to provide patients with the best possible care.
